Colonel David Shank and Captain Samuel Smith were the first to officially settle Seaton Village, both working as loyalists under John Graves Simcoe in the Queens Rangers. A man by the name of George Crookshank took over the land in the early 1800’s, building himself an estate overlooking the lake. His laneway eventually became part of Bathurst Street. Today we know that the village itself was originally built in the 1888, named after a Lieutenant Governor of that time, Lord Seaton.
Ever since then, the community has only grown in terms of people and recreation. In Seaton Village Toronto, you’ll find Vermont Park, home to a playground, wading pool, and the St. Albans Boys’ and Girls’ Club headquarters. This club provides children of all ages with preschool activities, summer camp fun, and other sports-related programs to keep them active. Seaton Village also possess a great deal of options for the shopping-inclined. Known for its Korean stores and delicious restaurants, Seaton Village Toronto is definitely not low on culture, attracting a diverse array of customers from all over the city.
As for housing, Seaton Village Toronto is made up of both semi and fully detached-homes, most of a Victorian style dating back to the late 1900’s. Homes located close to the many recreational and shopping centers of Seaton Village move fast.
