In 1912, Teddington Park Toronto formed the northern boundary of the City of Toronto. During that same year, two key businessmen Nicholas Garland and Robert Dack, registered plans for a large subdivision. The registration of these plans led to the building of historical homes in the Teddington Park community. The Rosedale Golf Club moved from Rosedale to Teddington Park in 1909, which inspired the development of a high-end residential neighbourhood. Because of municipal addresses, the historical houses along Riverview drive were given descriptive names such as, Treetops, Silverwood, and Donnybrook. To this day, some of these houses still have their historical names on display.
Most of the houses in the Teddington Park Toronto community were built between 1910 and 1935 and are reminiscent of historical Tudor and Georgian architecture.
